In June, the 16th World Convention of Chinese Entrepreneurs (WCEC), which is expected to be attended by more than 4,000 Chinese business leaders.
The event, organized by the Sino-Thai Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, from June 24-26.
WCEC’s founding members, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, take turns every two years to host the meeting. However, this year’s meeting, which was originally to be held in Malaysia in 2021, had to be canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Narongsak Putthapornmongkol, Chairman of the Thai-China Chamber of Commerce, said the meeting is expected to help speed up the country’s recovery from the pandemic and promote Thailand among Chinese companies around the world.
Diplomat Putthapornmongkol added that a reception will be held on June 24 to welcome the attendees, where popular Thai dishes will be served to the guests. For his part, Dhanin Chearavanont, president of the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP), will also be invited to speak at the meeting.

According to Lin Wei, adviser to the Sino-Thai Chamber of Commerce, guests will include Chinese nationals and members of civic and government groups from around the world.
