Yesterday there was a general stoppage of all flights pending takeoff in the United States due to a failure of the NOTAM computer system, a system in charge of providing warnings and news for flight missions. However, the reason why this system whose failure caused chaos throughout the United States was unknown, until now.
As we read in the reason for this system crash widespread had to do with a corrupt databasewhich was also corrupted in several of the system backups. For now, the reason why it was corrupted is unknown, but the causes are being investigated.
Likewise, work is being done to put measures in place to prevent something similar from happening again, since it was a sudden stop of all the flights that had to leave the United States that caused countless losses.
