In a new episode of the strange occurrences that are happening on Twitter after the takeover by Elon Musktoday it has been possible to see how Twitter workers in Singapore have had to be expelled from the company’s offices. The reason? Non-payment of rent for the office building in which they are staying.
This was not an oversight either, because according to what we read in gizmodo, It has been Elon Musk himself who has asked the workers in charge of it on Twitter to stop payments to contractors and vendors, to supposedly alleviate the company’s debts, something we don’t think works that way.
This has already happened with the San Francisco and Seattle offices, also resulting in a lawsuit by the owner of the San Francisco office building, so it really is not a seamless plan, quite the opposite.
At the moment, the workers in the Singapore offices have been classified as remote workers by the company, probably due to the unwillingness to continue paying the rent of the offices in the region to reduce the costs of keeping Twitter afloat.
