Chinese companies sought opportunities to expand their market share abroad at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA, which concluded on Sunday.

The world’s leading technology fair attracted hundreds of Chinese companies, including well-known brands such as Hisense, Lenovo and TCL, many of which emphasized innovation as a key factor in their global strategies.

Hisense launched its new ULED and Laser TV product lines at CES 2023, offering more mini LED and laser cinema options. The company also unveiled new home appliances and demonstrated how smart kitchen solutions can make life easier and more convenient.

“CES is a great platform for us to showcase our leading products, learn the latest trends in the industry and have exchanges with our peers,” Fisher Yu, executive vice president of Hisense Group, told Xinhua.

He said Hisense would continue to boost investment in research and development and improve its analysis of user and consumer behavior in various foreign markets to create more innovative products.

TCL, one of the major players in the global TV industry, also introduced innovative new TVs, sound bar models and home appliances, including its ultra-thin 8K LED Mini TV, at the show. Its smart wearable products, such as augmented reality and virtual reality glasses, also captured the attention of visitors.

“TCL smart displays rank second in the highly competitive US sales market. TCL looks forward to taking the opportunity of CES to showcase our smart technology and innovative products to the world,” Mark Zhang, general manager of TCL Industries North American Business Group, told Xinhua.

Liu Qujun, the company’s key account manager, highlighted its success in the mobile power sector and its identification of energy storage as a new area to expand market share abroad.

Shi Yonghong, vice president of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, said, “Chinese companies are now eager to expand globally.”

Shi added that in the past three years, global trade in Chinese mechanical and electrical products has increased steadily despite the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to stable production and supply chains.
