Some studies show that users unlock their terminals about 100 times a day, and logically, most of those times we see the lock screen. That is why, apparently, in the United States they are considering the possibility of put ads on the lock screens of the terminals of certain mobile operators.
As we can read in ExtremeTech, it seems that Glance is working with US operators so that they can implement this ad system in the terminals sold through them. Thus, it is possible to also bypass around the Play Store restrictionswhich banned apps of this kind in 2018.
This ban came just as Amazon ended its ad program on the lock screen of some smartphones, so we will have to see how Glance intends to implement this in terminals of telephone companies, Well, generally this company had worked directly with smartphone manufacturers.
At the end of the day, this serves to allow companies to make more profit from the cheaper handsets they sell, although this might not help much given the nature of Android, where we can usually get rid of these types of tactics by software.
