Strengthened cybersecurity for government websites in Thailand

Those responsible for cybersecurity in Thailand they will strengthen the protection of government websites, which have become targets of recent digital attacks.

At a meeting of the National Cyber ​​Security Agency, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan unveiled the operational guidelines for website security published by the National Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT). These guidelines will serve as a reference for developers of websites of public bodies.

The meeting approved a guideline on improving the cybersecurity of state websites, in response to recent attacks and unauthorized links redirecting users to online gambling sites.

Thailand and Cambodia team up to combat online scams

The meeting also noted a report on 30 cyber incidents that occurred during APEC Leaders Week, as well as 551 incidents that occurred in fiscal year 2022.

On this occasion, General Prawit asked the Ministry of the Digital Economy and Society to promote the 2022-2027 action plan approved to improve the security of government websites, while raising awareness among the population about cyberthreats.
