The dollar in Colombia continued to lose ground, this Tuesday, January 10, in the weekly start.
The currency continued with the trend of Friday the 6th and registered important losses, remaining slightly above 4,800 pesos, although it was possible to negotiate for less than that barrier.

The day began with a value of 4,840 pesos and closed at 4,791 pesos. The highest price that the dollar registered in the day was 4,844 and the lowest, 4,783 pesos.

The average negotiation price, in addition, was 4,807.62 pesos, 78.04 pesos less than the Representative Market Rate (TRM) of the day, which was 4,885.66 pesos.
In the first week of 2023, the US currency had strong volatility in its price: close to $200.

Among the factors that influenced their movements, both upwards and downwards, were a strong reaction to the 2022 inflation figure (13.12%) in Colombia, the uncertainty due to the high rates of contagion of covid-19 in China and the lower prices of raw materials.
