At the end of last year, cases of the new AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX with overheating problems began to appear, different conjectures and investigations suggested that the problem would be in the vapor chamber, with insufficient liquid in some units that can make the units temperatures reach 110 degrees on the GPU with the consequent performance penalty due to thermal throttling.
These issues occur on some units of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX with AMD’s reference design, and the company has sent us an official statement where they assure that they are working to clarify the specific cause that produces this overheating. According to AMD itself, its first investigations to date point precisely to the cooling system of a limited number of units.
In the meantime, the company urges users who have one of the faulty AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX drives with high temperatures to contact AMD support for a solution. In AMD consumer support website We can find contact details for different countries. In the case of Spanish consumers, they can call the free telephone number 900 99 71 21, available from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
