AMD announced yesterday its new line of Ryzen 7000 processors for laptops of different ranges, including the H and HX line with up to 16 cores for high-performance gaming equipment.
ACER has announced two of the first gaming laptops that make use of this new generation with AMD Zen 4 architecture, the Nitro 16 and Nitro 17.
The Acer Nitro 16 It comes with a 16-inch screen with WUXGA or WQXGA resolution (depending on the model chosen), with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 100% of the sRGB gamut. This screen covers 84% of the front area thanks to a reduction in the frames of the equipment.
For the graphics part, there will be different NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 graphics options working with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus to switch between dedicated and integrated, although ACER has not revealed the exact models.
On the other hand, the Acer Nitro 17 it also maintains that combination of the AMD Ryzen Series 7000 along with the NVIDIA RTX 40. In this case, the screen grows to 17.3 inches with various resolution and frequency options. In this way, we can choose between a QHD screen with 165 Hz, or a FullHD panel of 144 or 165 Hz.
Both models combine up to 32GB of 4800MHz DDR5 RAM with up to 2TB NVMe 1.4 SSDs. They are also not lacking in USB4, USB 3.1 and WiFi 6E connectivity.
As for their prices and arrival in Spain, The Acer Nitro 16 will arrive in May for 1,499 euros in its base configuration, and the Acer Nitro 17 will do so the same month for 1,599 euros.
