Intel will update its NUC X15 notebook reference platform, also known as Alder Country, with new processors Intel Alder Lake along with dedicated Intel Arc graphics, a complete solution from the company itself. these laptops Intel LAPAC71G and LAPAC71H are used by OEM builders to build their own equipment and now they can do it with updated Intel processors and graphics.
According to leaked specs by @momomo_us on Twitter, the LAPAC71G model will feature a processor Intel Alder Lake Core i7-12700H coupled with Intel Arc A550M graphics. The LAPAC71H model will have this same Intel Core i7-12700H processor, but up the graphics up to an Intel Arc A730M.
These laptops come to replace the previous generation, with Intel Core i7 11800H and Core i5-11400H processors, but with NVIDIA RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 graphics. With this change of including the Intel Arc, the graphics performance will not be the same, since according to the tests that we have been able to see the most powerful of those included in these models, the Intel Arc A730M, It barely outperforms the RTX 3050 Ti.
We should expect these new Intel NUC X15s with this new configuration when Intel officially introduces the Intel Arc cards included in these two models. At the moment they are already supported by their drivers, so we think that the launch can not take long.
