AMD Introduces Ryzen 7045HX and 7040 Processors and Radeon RX 7000 Graphics for Laptops

5 Jan. (Portaltic/EP) –

the american company AMD has presented its new line of processors and graphics for laptops Ryzen 7045HX, Ryzen 7040 and Radeon RX 7000, which will begin to integrate equipment from manufacturers such as Asus or Alienware in the first half of this year.

AMD has inaugurated CES Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show 2023 with the keynote address, in which its CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, addressed the role that adaptive computing and high performance play in creating solutions to the world’s greatest challenges.

Likewise, he took advantage of the stage to announce the new products of the company for laptops and desktopsincluding Ryzen 7045HX Series and Ryzen 7040 Series mobile processors, Radeon RX 7000 Series mobile graphics units, Ryzen 7000 Series X3D and Ryzen 7000 Series 65W desktop processors, and Accelerated Processing Unit Instinct MI300 integrated APU (APU) for data centers.

processors Ryzen 7045H SeriesX for notebooks are built with a process of 5 nanometers and offer configurations with up to 16 ‘Zen 4’ cores and 32 threads, and feature DDR5 memory support.

For their part, the Ryzen 7040 Series for ultra-thin notebooks offer up to eight ‘Zen 4’ cores and AMD RDNA 3 graphics architecture integrated. Alongside them, AMD introduced Ryzen AI technology, the first dedicated hardware AI in an X86 processor, bringing AMD XDNA adaptive AI architecture to mobile computing.

Also for laptops, Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics are built on AMD RDNA 3 architecture, which improves power efficiency and performance in games at 1080p.

AMD has confirmed during its keynote event at CES that manufacturers such as Alienware, Asus, Emdoor and IP3 will offer AMD Advantage Edition laptops from the first half of 2023, powered by new Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics and Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

New AMD SmartShift RSR technology, expected to be available in the first half of 2023, intelligently distributes rendering, scaling, and presentation needs between APU and GPU resources to help deliver the best possible performance.

In regards to the desktop computers, processors Ryzen 7000 Series X3D They are expanded with three new models, equipped with up to 144MB of cache and endowed with up to 16 cores and 32 threads. For their part, the Ryzen 7000 Series 65W they are built on the ‘Zen 4’ architecture and with a TDP of 65W.

AMD Instinct MI300 is an integrated APU for data centers, which is designed to offer a efficient performance in AI training and high performance computing workloads (HPC). MI300 accelerators take advantage of a 3D chiplet design, combining AMD CDNA 3 GPU, ‘Zen 4’ CPU and HBM chiplets.

AMD has also introduced the artificial intelligence accelerator for video analytics Alveo V70, a new high-performance, energy-efficient AI inference accelerator for data center and cloud deployments. Based on AMD XDNA architecture with AI Engine, Alveo V70 extends pervasive AI from the edge to the cloud.
