The Armed Forces of Ukraine have estimated this Friday at more than 110,000 Russian soldiers “liquidated” since the start of the invasion, unleashed at the end of February 2022 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has stated in a message on its Facebook social network account that “about 110,350” Russian soldiers have been “liquidated” since the start of hostilities, including 530 in the last 24 hours.
In addition, it has indicated that since the beginning of the war, 3,064 battle tanks, 2,059 artillery systems, 215 anti-aircraft defense systems, 285 planes, 272 helicopters, 1,844 drones, 723 cruise missiles, 16 boats, 4,797 vehicles and fuel tanks and 182 pieces of “special equipment”.
The spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army, Oleksandr Shtupun, has stressed in his daily balance that Russia has carried out 17 bombardments and 59 rocket attacks during the last day, directed “in particular against civilian infrastructure”, for which reason it has reminded that “the danger of air and missile strikes by the enemy continues throughout the territory of Ukraine.”
“The enemy continues to focus its efforts on launching an offensive in the direction of Bakhmut and is carrying out offensive operations in the direction of Bakhmut and Liman,” he stressed, before noting that Ukrainian forces have repelled attacks over the past 24 hours against several localities in Donetsk and Lugansk (east).
On the other hand, he has reported that the Air Force has carried out during the last day 15 attacks against “enemy concentration areas”, as well as another three against “positions of its anti-aircraft systems”. “Our missile and artillery units caused damage to two areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy”, he has stressed.
