Video games coming to the PlayStation 5 console in January 2023

Looking for new games to buy this year 2023? If you have a console PS5, you can opt for the outstanding titles of The Game Awards 2022, such as Elden Ring or God of War Ragnarok. Another alternative is to wait for the first titles to be released in January of this year.

One of the standouts is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The title that was launched in 2020 will have a special version for PS5 and Xbox Series X which will have better graphics, texture and special effects.

If you remember that game that was codenamed Project Athia, you should know that it is now called Forspoken and will be released for next-gen consoles on January 24. “Forspoken follows the journey of Frey, a young New Yorker who is transported to the beautiful and cruel land of Athia. To return home, Frey must use her new magical abilities to traverse vast landscapes and fight monstrous creatures.”, reads the official description of the game.

Another of the most anticipated of the year is One Piece Odyssey, scheduled for January 13. It will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. “The famous pirate Monkey.D.Luffy, better known as Straw Hat Luffy, and his Straw Hat Pirates, sail through the New World in search of the next island and the next adventure that awaits them. However, during their journey they are caught in a storm and shipwrecked. They end up stranded on a lush tropical island surrounded by constant terrible storms…”.

Capcom also has a major game on its hands for PS5: Monster Hunter Rise. It will arrive on consoles on January 20 and will have 4K resolution support and 60 fps.

“Accept the challenge and join the hunt! In Monster Hunter Rise, the latest installment in the award-winning and super-successful Monster Hunter series, you will become a hunter, explore new maps and use many different weapons to take down fearsome monsters in an all-new story.”.
