Blizzard Entertainment boasts a ton of franchises that have made a name for themselves in the PC community. In 2015 the company launched Heroes of the Storm, a cross-over MOBA that brought together characters from several of their games. Unfortunately, today Blizzard Entertainment reported that it will practically abandon it.
The MOBA debuted on June 2, 2015, precisely last month it turned 7 years old in the midst of uncertainty regarding the future of the game, which had not received updates with news for months.

Heroes of the Storm you will no longer receive new content
Well, today in an untimely way Blizzard Entertainment thanked the fans for their support during these 7 years, but it was bittersweet, because the statement had the purpose of revealing what the fans feared and saw coming: the game will enter what is known as Maintenance Mode.
This is a euphemism for saying that active development in Heroes of the Storm has officially come to an end, which means that it will no longer receive updates with new content, just like Blizzard Entertainment has done with other games, such as star craft Y StarCraft II.

doHeroes of the Storm will disappear?
This, however, does not mean that Heroes of the Storm will stop working. The Maintenance Mode consists of continuing to support the title, so it will be possible to get it and play it without problems on PC, since Blizzard Entertainment plans to continue releasing patches focused on the sustainability of the client and correcting errors, as well as changes of balance.
According to the details, the MOBA will continue to rotate heroes (in the end 90 characters joined) and seasonal changes. The in-game store, for its part, will continue to function, but, as we mentioned, it will not receive new content.
In case you missed it: Blizzard Entertianment offered free access to all the characters of Heroes of the Storm for several days of pandemic.
To show their gratitude to players, Blizzard Entertainment will be offering the Arcane Epic Lizard rare mount for free with next week’s patch.
“To our community of Heroes we say ‘thank you’. They remain one of our most passionate communities, and we are grateful for their continued support and dedication. As always, we look forward to seeing you at the nexus,” Blizzard Entertainment said in a statement.
