On December 29, 2022, Cambodian Ambassador to Thailand Ouk Sorphorn made a farewell visit Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai at the end of his mission to Thailand.
During the visit, both parties appreciated the excellent relations between the two countries, especially at the leadership level.
The Cambodian Ambassador congratulated Thailand on its success in hosting the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, and Don Pramudwinai praised Cambodia’s constructive role as ASEAN President this year.
Both sides discussed regional issues and stressed the importance of strengthening ASEAN’s role in finding practical solutions to problems based on consultation, consensus and close cooperation.

The Thai diplomat praised the ambassador’s active role in promoting closer bilateral relations in all fields, especially in driving greater trade and investment flow.
For his part, the Cambodian ambassador highlighted Cambodia’s economic diplomacy policy to strengthen economic ties between the two nations by promoting Thailand-based companies to expand their operations to Cambodia, while promoting more Cambodian investment to Thailand.
