Trump’s tax returns from 2015 to 2020 are now public

5 things: Trump asks federal court to dismiss sexual assault charge

() — Six years of former President Donald Trump’s federal tax returns, long shrouded in secrecy, were released to the public Friday by the US House Ways and Means Committee, at the culmination of a battle for its disclosure that reached the Supreme Court.

The results, which span the years 2015 to 2020, were obtained by the Democratic-led commission just weeks ago after a protracted legal battle. The commission voted last week to release the statements once sensitive personal information was properly removed.

A team is reviewing the documents, which number hundreds of pages. This process will take time, but an analysis by the nonpartisan Joint Commission on Taxation released last week showed that Trump paid $1.1 million in combined federal income taxes in 2018 and 2019, a stark contrast to the $750 he paid in 2017 and $0 in 2020.
