Nine people arrested in the capital of Turkey for their alleged ties to the Islamic State

Turkish security forces have arrested nine people on Tuesday for their alleged ties to the Islamic State jihadist group in the framework of a series of operations carried out in the country’s capital, Ankara.

Security sources cited by the Turkish state news agency, Anatolia, have pointed out that the suspects would have maintained contact with terrorists in conflict zones. During the operations, the group’s materials and documents have been seized.
