The death toll from the floods in the Philippines rises to 13

Dec. 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The number of people killed by heavy rains in the Philippines has risen to 13 while another 23 victims remain missing.

According to the daily report of the National Council for the Prevention of Risks and Elimination of Natural Disasters (NDRRMC) published this Tuesday, the floods have affected a total of 166,357 people in six regions of the country while 45,382 have already been displaced to 87 evacuation centers.

Regarding the damage to infrastructure, the report specifies that 534 homes and 22 buildings have been affected. Similarly, 56 cities have reported power outages and 4 water outages but no interruptions in telecommunications have occurred so far.

Due to the strong storm, classes and work have also been suspended in 67 cities, however, a state of emergency has only been declared in one of the regions.
