In the Xel-Há store, located inland from La Viga and where Norwegian cod is sold this season, prices range from 270 per kilo of sablefish (the part that is closest to the skin) to 510 pesos per kilo. a “cleaner” (white) version.
If you do not want shredded, but boneless, the value goes from 250 for a kilo of skinless auction, to 480 for a kilo of extra loin. This means that, depending on the presentation you choose, the buyer will spend an average of 377.50 for a kilo of Norwegian cod.
One of the tenants pointed out that the cod, which cost 510 pesos, had gone up in value, since in August it cost 400 pesos.
