Twitter is experimenting with a new feature that allows two accounts to co-author a tweet. The company calls it “CoTweet”a feature being tested with “select” accounts in the United States, Canada, and Korea, so there is still time for us to see it in our region.
With a CoTweet, two accounts can be linked as authors of a single tweet, which will be reflected in both accounts’ timelines. Like the collaboration feature introduced by Instagram last year, CoTweets seem to be geared more toward brands and creators than typical Twitter users.
In this link we have all the necessary information about it, which, unlike what we can usually see with new Twitter features, which are announced through one or several tweets, this time it has a whole page dedicated to the possible questions and characteristics of this functionality.
In any case, until some time has passed and it has been validated that the feature is safe and works correctly, we will not see it spread throughout the world, so for now we just have to wait for this to happen.
