November 19 () –
At least one person has died and another has been injured in the early hours of this Saturday on the Russian island of Sakhalin, where the gas from a house has generated an explosion that has affected the five floors of a residential building.
The governor of the region has explained that the body has been found under the rubble, like the survivor who has been transferred to undergo surgery, as detailed on his Telegram channel.
“The house was not connected to the centralized gas supply infrastructure. The causes of the explosion are now being established. 10 emergency vehicles and 30 rescuers are working on the scene,” he wrote, after reporting that a plane medic and a rescue helicopter were on the way.
In addition, the governor has specified that a temporary shelter with beds and hot food has been set up for the residents affected by the explosion, which has damaged the entire building.
