AGON, AOC’s gaming brand, has announced two new models of gaming monitors equipped with 27-inch panels with a 2,560 x 1,440 QHD resolution and a high refresh rate that can reach 270 Hz.

We say that they can reach that figure because, really, these are two models with the same panel size and resolution, but different technology. On one hand, we have the AOC AGON AG275QZ/EU equipped with a Fast-IPS panel with 0.5 ms GtG response time and 0.5 ms with MPRT. Although its native frequency is 240 Hz, it has an Overclock mode with which it goes up to 270 Hz.

For the rest, it has support for HDR10 content and complies with the certification DisplayHDR 400 from VESA. Its contrast is 1000:1 and it covers a wide color gamut, from 99.9% Adobe RGB to 97.5% DCI-P3 along with 100% sRGB.

Secondly, the AOC AGON AG275QZN/EU change the IPS panel for a Fast-VA that maintains 1ms GtG response time and 0.5ms MPRT. The VA panel also maintains 27 inches and QHD resolution along with DisplayHDR 400 support. This model stays at a refresh rate of 240 Hz. Its color coverage is somewhat lower, with 89.3% of Adobe-RGB, 99 .7% of sRGB and 89.9% of DCI-P3.

Both models support Adaptive-Sync and will be sold this November for prices of 769 euros for the IPS AOC AGON AG275QZ/EU model and 549 euros for the VA AOC AGON AG275QZN/EU model.
