The Pokémon Company will block the game for players who trade modded Pokémon

November 14 (Portaltic/EP) –

pokemon company has announced that it will block the title for players who trade characters from the illegally modified sagawhich can cause ‘software’ problems for Pokémon and Pokémon HOME players.

The company seeks to end the irregularities in this franchise, since some players have created modified Pokémon, to which they have added characteristics or whose data has been changed irregularly and against the game’s policies.

From the Pokémon Company they have indicated that they have confirmed that some of the users are playing Pokémon and Pokémon HOME using these altered pokemon and that, because there are problems in the operation of its ‘software’, it has imposed a series of measures to block the players who have exchanged them.

In this sense, he has commented that he will take action against those whose actions “cause inconvenience to other users” and “are considered inappropriate from an operational point of view”, as he has pointed out in a statement.

Thus, it has commented that it can impose one or more sanctions on these players who cheat, such as restricting the ‘online’ game in the Pokémon Pocket Monsters series or the use of the exchange function in the mobile version of the title, Pokémon Home.

Likewise, it has indicated that it is within its right to suspend the use of the Switch and mobile versions of Pokémon Home and restrict pokemon bank to transfer Pokémon to the version for ‘smartphones’.

The developer has ensured that these actions will be taken only against those players who have modified the data or exchanged Pokémon knowing that they had been illegally altered. Therefore, players who receive these modified Pokémon or send them to other users by mistake will be exempt from these sanctions.

Finally, he commented that Pokémon Home Premium payments and subscriptions will be refunded to those affected by these measures and that it will continue to monitor the game “on a regular basis” and “work to address fraudulent and nuisance activity.”

However, he has assured that he will continue working on new measures to regulate this illegal exchange and that “it is possible” that implements more restrictions without prior notice.
