Elon Musk took control of Twitter and claimed that he did it to help humanity, which he loves.

Elon Musk finally takes control of Twitter in a $44 billion deal. This publicly traded company is one of the fastest growing social media services and has huge shareholders. Worldwide, Twitter has 400 million users. The majority audience is generation Z, with 70% men and 30% women as account holders. Twitter has generated a 2% contribution to the world’s total growth rate.

Demographically categorized active Twitter users indicate that the United States is the country with the largest number of users, followed by Japan, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, etc. Thus, we can see that most of the users are from a democratic nation.

Twitter’s potential for brand promotion has made it a successful tool in the field of marketing and management. In addition to sharing brain farts and funny memes, Twitter, in a faster line of communication, is influencing instant customer support of various companies with its engagement tool as a marketing metric. The main reasons for visiting this social site are its availability of real-time news from around the world and its popularity as a medium for breaking news.

The speed of communication plays a very important role in promoting products among the target audience so that a brand remembers your business. Digital intelligence claims that 4.8 million Twitter accounts are bots engaged in political and brand promotion. It is interesting to note that Twitter has been in a steady decline for about 6-7 years now and most of its revenue comes from advertising.

Elon Musk started by acquiring shares in this company and then surprisingly orchestrated a $44 billion acquisition to own it today. He claims that Twitter’s purchase of him is for humanity and free speech and can never be for such a business.

Let’s decipher his movement to acquire Twitter by reviewing the paths traveled by Elon Musk in the business world. The richest man in the world owns:

  • Tesla – An electric car company, one of only six US companies to have reached a market capitalization of one trillion dollars. Elon Musk is the co-founder and CEO of Tesla.
  • SpaceX – Aerospace rocket manufacturing company founded by Musk. Space X landed several high-level contracts with NASA and the US Air Force.
  • Neuralink – A low orbit satellite link service.
  • The Boring Company- Musk is also the co-founder of a tunnel and infrastructure construction company that is working on a model of a high-speed transportation system: Hyperloop. – OpenAI – Artificial intelligence company for the benefit of humanity.
  • Musk Foundation
  • Twitter – Social Media Platform
  • Solar City and Tesla Energy, Zip2 Corporation and DeepMind are his other companies.

This tech mogul is a visionary and has always been seen to push the limits beyond the maximum. He is the largest shareholder of the mentioned companies. So now let’s move on to the million dollar question of why Musk would buy Twitter for $44 billion just for free speech. Weird right? Let’s unscramble his words from a broader angle.

We knew that Elon Musk was the co-founder of PayPal, an online e-commerce company that was extremely popular for financial transfer via electronic devices. He was accepted by many online merchants for his impressive income and large customer base from him in 1998. His entrepreneurial brilliance always flows over developed/developing nations which are a democracy. So indirect profit is guaranteed.

He affirms that his purchase of Twitter is for humanity and freedom of expression and that it can never be for a business like this

Following the acquisition of Twitter, Elon Musk fired his top executives and formed a new team to build his business.

Changpeng Zhao – Co-Founder and CEO of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume.

David Sacker – Venture capitalist, former COO of PayPal.

Sriram Krishnan – Crypto GP at a16z, Venture Capitalist, Andreessen Horowitz.

Musk is trying to sound more optimistic about Twitter’s potential with these moguls as part of his team. Musk had planned to rethink Twitter’s content moderation policies and disagrees with Twitter’s practice of permanent bans. He’ll probably give Twitter a makeover in terms of:

  • A UPI payment/transaction interface to generate revenue for this slow running horse.
  • cryptocurrency promotion

The richest man in the world with 10 crores of followers on Twitter (105M) can influence a lot on this platform. Tesla’s 0 marketing strategy dominates the automobile industry, Musk often used strategic marketing and social media marketing as his sales chart. Tesla managed to grow 64.9% in 2021 alone with its 0 marketing strategy. The power of Elon Musk’s tweets is an attention game. Musk’s tweets influence his ever-impressed fanbase and even stocks dance to his tweets.

Elon Musk’s geopolitical influence (Tweets):

Elon Musk’s tweets get influence through which personal branding and business get more attention as well. It is an attested truth that Musk is a geopolitical super influencer on the Twitter platform.

India’s Hypersonic Program: Hype or Payoff

  • When Musk tweeted about the proposed peace deal and a Twitter poll about the Russia-Ukraine war, it angered Ukrainians. Musk’s withdrawal of the free satellite Internet service, Starlink, to Ukraine marked a 180-degree turn with the US government.
  • Musk’s past tweets about challenges with the Indian government over the operation of Tesla, where India is the third-biggest market for Twitter, had further implications for the incumbent government. This clearly demonstrates that any country’s government management policies can be influenced by an individual tweet.
  • Even his tweet on the China-Taiwan question, in which he positioned himself in favor of China, again showed his geopolitical interest as an influencer.
  • Musk’s new position even raised the hopes of former President Donald Trump’s supporters on the platform, with major implications for the upcoming US midterm elections.

Therefore, it is quite clear that Elon Musk is once again going to move the attention business game as a super influencer maintaining a geopolitically controlled world through his growing power through the platform of Twitter. He could greatly influence the management policies of any government using his platform. The bird is released, not for humanity, but to fly high in the geopolitical democratic demography with two gentle giants – Payment interface and cryptocurrency promotion.

Musk’s tweets influence his ever-impressed fanbase and even stocks dance to his tweets.
