Mystery solved. Disney+ just revealed what have Lucasfilm and ghiblithe famous Japanese animation studio known for titles like ‘Princess Mononoke’ either ‘My Neighbor Totoro’. Both houses have joined forces to create a short film starring one of the most endearing characters in the Star Wars universe: Baby Yoda.
The animated work is titled ‘Zen Grogy and Dust Bunnies’ and will premiere today, Saturday, November 12, on Disney+. It was the company itself that has launched the announcement via Twitter along with another surprise, as a preview and to whet your appetite: a poster on which you can see Baby Yoda and the famous susuwatarithe creatures of the Oscar-winning ‘Spirited Away’.
The poster and announcement of Disney + comes after the expectation created over the last few days by Studio Ghibi, which has launched a series of tweets in which the collaboration was advancing without providing further details. At the moment, yes, little has been revealed beyond the poster and that the work is launched today.

The animated shortaccurate deadline— has been directed by Katsuya Kondo and will feature music by composer Ludwig Göransson. The launch also coincides with a very special date for the platform: the anniversary of Disney+ and its acclaimed ‘The Mandalorians’.
The character in the short is actually related to the series: Grogu, known as Baby Yoda.
