Nintendo reconfirms that it wants to bring more N64 titles to Switch Online

Interesting news related to Nintendo Switch Online is coming our way, as the company’s president has just confirmed, once again, that Nintendo plans to release more Nintendo 64 content on the hybrid console service.

As you surely know, the meeting with Nintendo investors, held a few days ago, continues to give people something to talk about and on this occasion it was announced that the president of the company spoke about the plans they have with Nintendo Switch Online.

Although he has already commented on it on other occasions, Shintaro Furukawa said that more Nintendo 64 games are being considered for the Switch service, stating that this has been an important factor in attracting more customers:

“The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service that we started last year represents an increasing proportion of general memberships, thanks in part to the addition of Nintendo 64 titles. The goal of Nintendo Switch Online as a service is to help users to enjoy playing on Nintendo Switch for a long time, so we are considering various initiatives, including further improvements to the content of the service,” said Furukawa.

Due to this, the president also considered that the hybrid console service will be a good help for users to stay on the Switch:

“Our goal is to continue to use the Nintendo Account to maintain positive and lasting relationships with our consumers. In line with this strategy, we consider Nintendo Switch Online to be our initiative to encourage our users to continue enjoying Nintendo Switch for many years to come,” he concluded.

As you can see, it seems that the president of Nintendo believes that the Switch still has a lot to offer and one way to keep gamers using it will be to offer more content on Nintendo Switch Online.
