The video game developer Remedy Entertainment confirmed this Friday, after signing an agreement with the video game publisher 505 Gameswhich will develop and publish control 2 and what will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox series X/S and PC.
The sequel to the award-winning game Control has a initial budget which amounts to €50 million and, in addition, Remedy will be the one who retains the intellectual property of this new installment, sas detailed by the company on your website. However, the project is still in concept stage.
Control 2 will be developed with the tools and engine ‘Northlight’ patented by Remedy. However, the creators have not exposed any details of the plot or the mechanics of the game. The potential release date is also unknown..
In this regard, the co-executive directors of 505 Games, Rami and Raffi Galante, have expressed their “excitement” to work with Remedy and “continuing the ‘Control’ success story together.” They have also recognized that it is the largest investment their company has ever made and that it has “a special place in their hearts.
For his part, the CEO of Remedy, Tero Virtala, has also shown his “pride” towards the announcement of the production of Control 2 and towards the investment dedicated to this video game.
