ZTE Corporation has officially released the white book on technology “beyond 5G” in the 5G Summit 2022 in Italy.

The white paper aims to establish a technical basis for the entire ecosystem to drive digital transformation in the phase Beyond 5G (B5G), and fulfill the potential of 5G to benefit people, businesses, governments, and societies.

The white paper begins with GSMA Intelligence’s deep insights into global industry trends, challenges for operators, standards development and potential industry verticals.

Based on its scenario and value-oriented principles, ZTE examines some key potential technologies in the phase beyond 5G. The company analyzes not only the characteristics of each technology, but also the value scenarios and services in the future.

In addition, some white paper technologies have been prototyped and are being verified together with operators.

For example, the synergy solution between the RIS (Reconfigurable Intelligent metaSurface) and the base station can effectively solve the challenge of continuous coverage of mmWave bands, and provide a double guarantee of speed and coverage for value areas.

Another case is that of integrated sensing and communication, which ZTE innovated together with computing and control, enriching new applications such as facility security and vehicle-road synergy.

The main mission in the B5G phase is to help 5G create greater value, optimize and solve development problems, and harness the digital economy to drive economic recovery.

Going forward, ZTE will actively provide products and solutions to meet the requirements of various scenarios.

In addition, the company will cooperate with more industry partners, carriers, distributors and vertical sectors, to further accelerate digital transformation, and to reshape a new digital landscape and achieve win-win digital economy in the post-5G stage.
