One of the main new features of the Winter Update is the online cooperative mode, which allows up to four players to step into the shoes of the Master Chief and complete the campaign. The difficulty of the game and the supplies are adjusted based on the number of participants so that the challenge is always up to the task. Halo Infinite co-op mode has cross-play but no system drop in / drop outso if a player leaves the game, the rest must return to the menu to form the team again.
343 Industries has thanked Halo Infinite players for their patience.
Players should note that some distance between party members is allowed in Halo Infinite co-op play, especially when the action is in open environments. The game will warn if the limit is exceeded. In the event that a squad member falls in combat, they will be able to revive when they deem it safe. In addition to the cooperative mode, which comes accompanied by new achievements, the Halo Infinite campaign adds the Mission Replay function that allows you to repeat missions with the improvements obtained.
Regarding the Forge mode, it reaches Halo Infinite under the protection of a beta. This creation tool debuts with six maps and promises to offer more options than ever for players to unleash their creativity. Maps and modes created with Forge can be shared with the community. Over time, this mode will evolve and receive new content. On the other hand, we have a new free Battle Pass with 30 levels that will never expire and that brings back some cosmetics from Halo: Reach.
Finally, to briefly mention the rest of the new features of the Halo Infinite winter update: new EXP progression system and new ways to earn experience, two new maps, Argyle and Detachment, and a new game mode called Covert One Flag based on rounds and with an attack/defense structure.
