According to the statistical entity, annual inflation for poor households was 14.10%; for the vulnerable, 13.92%, middle class, 12.40%, and high income, 10.57%.
The annual behavior of the total CPI in October 2022 (12.22%) was mainly explained by the annual variation of the divisions Food and non-alcoholic beverages and Accommodation, water, electricity, gas and other fuels.

The Food and non-alcoholic beverages division registered an annual variation of 27.02%.
The largest price increases were recorded in the cassava subclasses for home consumption (116.27%), onion (97.55%) and arracacha, yams and other tubers (96.23%).
The cities where prices rose the most in October
Between September and October, the city that became more expensive was Sincelejo (2.16%), followed by Cúcuta (1.14%), Valledupar (0.87%), Montería and Pasto (0.84%).
According to Dane, in Sincelejo, the subdivisions that increased the most were urban transport (27.07%), cheese and related products (10.54%) and rice (2.81%).
