“The death of Arshad Sharif is not a case of mistaken identity,” he indicated at a press conference, adding that, although more evidence is still needed, the evidence points to this possibility, according to the ARY News news channel.
The NGO Reporters Without Borders has requested this Tuesday an investigation in the United Nations environment to clarify the death of the journalist when he was traveling from the town of Magadi to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
“Information currently emerging from the Kenyan wing of the investigation is contradictory, and all independent attempts to obtain information are met with a wall of silence,” said Sadibou Marong, director of the sub-Saharan Africa office.
