Users of the streaming service TIDAL you can now create a profile in which share your playlists favorites with family, friends and music fans. This is a starting point with which to offer its subscribers to broaden their musical experience, starting by enjoying the discoveries and recommendations of other users.
The global streaming music and entertainment platform, which has more than 90 million songs Y 450,000 high-quality videos in its catalog, offers this new feature to listeners so they can “discover new songs, albums and artists”, as well as to “keep up” with other music lovers who share a similar taste in music.
TIDAL has millions of playlists designed by its users that, on average, they have a total of eight per profile, to which they can give a name and add emojis. Once configured, they have the option to make that selection public so that other listeners can find them within the app. These lists can also be shared publicly outside the platform via a link.
“Profiles are one of the many new features we’re bringing to TIDAL to help music fans share and engage with each other“, explained Agustina Sacerdote, Product Manager at TIDAL.
“Playlists are personal and also the way most users discover new songs with friends and family. This new option is a first step for TIDAL to make streaming is more social and communalwhich is an inherent part of the musical experience,” he added.
TIDAL profiles – available in the app on iOS and Android, as well as on desktop and web in 62 countries – will feature a space called ‘My music’ as an in-app location for all saved content that the user chooses to make public. Additionally, they will be able to access all of this saved content after creating a new profile.
