Intel has shown its sixth generation Xeon Granite Rapids running with 6,400 MHz DDR5 memory

Despite the repeated delays in the next fourth generation Intel Xeon, we have known that these will coexist with the fifth generation Emerald Rapids. But Intel has already 6th generation shown of these Intel Xeon Scalable running faster DDR5 memory. This sixth generation called Granite Rapids it’s not expected until a year after the Intel Sapphire Rapids and the Intel Emerald Rapids, in 2024.

According to they tell us in Benchlifeduring the Intel Innovation 2022 event Intel showed this future sixth generation Intel Xeon processor running on 6400MHz DDR5 memory, with a configuration of 1 dimm per channel. This speed is faster than those expected for the Sapphire Rapids and Emerald Rapids which will reach 5,600 MHz.

The new Intel Granite Rapids will be manufactured with the Intel 3 node that will work under the Birch Stream Platform. They are expected to be compatible with CXL 2.0 and rumors say they will have configurations up to 120 cores Redwood Cove.

As we have commented in this news, The Intel Sapphire Rapids will be released on January 10 from 2023 after several delays.
