The video of the Russian soldier who survived two grenades launched by a Ukrainian drone

The technology that the West supplies to Ukraine has allowed the kyiv army to achieve a significant competitive advantage on the battlefield. The use, among other elements, of combat drones equipped with ‘bombs’ made from grenades, has allowed Ukraine to strike at Russian lines without having to expose its soldiers.

To equip these drones, it is necessary to modify conventional grenades so that they explode once they are fired remotely. Although it is not usual, on certain occasions this type of ammunition fails due to the aforementioned modifications or other elements, such as cold.

This situation is what has occurred in the case of the Russian soldier who has miraculously survived the impact of one of these projectiles. The soldier, who was entrenched in a ditch located on the front, was hit by one of these ‘bombs’ on his own backhowever, it did not explode.

In the video, which has spread through social networks, it can be seen how, even once it bounces against his body, the soldier is able to get rid of it. Later, a second grenade did explode in the position defended by the soldier, although it imploded meters from the place where the first projectile fell.

No light in Kherson

In the last few hours, Ukraine has continued to hit the front that surrounds the city of Kherson. Russia is preparing for a siege where strong street-to-street combat is expected. In this sense, the company in charge of supplying energy to the enclave has communicated this Sunday that there is no longer electricity in any of the neighborhoods.

In a statement on Telegram, the pro-Russian administration of Kherson has accused the Ukrainian partisans of this action, alluding that it was a “terrorist attack” that damaged three power lines in the region.

The RIA news agency considers that this situation shows that the fighting in the city is about to begin. This week, Putin had reorganized his army to defend the city. Citizens continue to be evacuated although some of them refuse to leave their homes for fear of forced deportation to regions of deep Russia.

The kyiv government, for its part, remains silent in the face of what it considers to be one of the moments that could mark the future of the war. Winter, which threatens to paralyze the front line, is near, and the conquest of a city that Russia considers key could be a great blow before facing the toughest months of the conflict.
