D-Link democratizes access to Multi-Gigabit networks with its new DMS-106XT switch

Nov. 4 (Portaltic/EP) –

D Link has announced the availability of its new DMS-106XT switch, equipped with a 10 Gigabit port and 5 2.5 Gigabit ports, with which the company seeks to “democratize access to Multi-Gigabit networks” and which is now available for 219 euros.

This new D-Link switch offers 2.5 Gigabit LAN connections and 10 Gigabit in an aluminum chassis in a desktop format, ideal for small offices and advanced users to jump from the Gigabit standard to the new 2.5 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit to accelerate access to NAS units, servers, workstations or 8K streaming services.

Due to its format without management, it does not require technical knowledge, with the idea that it can be “install and use” directly by the user. The LED lights on the front indicate -according to their color- the speed at which the link has been established (Gigabit, 2.5G, 10G) in each port.

Though the DMS-106XT is an unmanaged switch, features an advanced intelligent traffic prioritization mode, ‘Turbo mode’, which can be activated via a switch and enables port-based Advanced QoS to prioritize bandwidth to devices with the highest demand.

The original and avant-garde design The DMS-106XT has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award and has been made on a metallic gray aluminum alloy chassis, which in addition to giving it a distinctive touch allows optimal heat dissipation, avoiding the need for fans so that the operation is very quiet.
