Elon Musk acquired Twitter a few days ago and is now listed as the new owner. The news generated controversy on the internet, as big changes that will affect users rear their heads. Likewise, a wave of layoffs has already impacted the social network’s workforce, and it seems that the Mexico division also suffered a very significant cut in personnel.
This week, a portal report Bloomberg indicated that Elon Musk plans to lay off 50% of the company’s employees as part of the financial adjustments of its acquisition. According to the sources, about 3,700 workers will lose their jobs, although preliminary reports suggest that the number could be higher.

Although it is difficult to know for sure, it seems that the cut in personnel also affected the Mexican division of the social network. What happens is that members of Twitter Mexico announced in the last few hours that they had lost their access credentials since the night of last Thursday, October 3.
Amid the uncertainty, some workers said goodbye to their teammates, while others shared their resumes in search of new job offers for themselves and their colleagues. At the time of writing these lines, the official Mexico Twitter account has not yet responded to this situation.
My dear, Almu! You wrote it all down?. I will always be here for you. It was a great joy to work with you. Everything will be fine. Let me know about your next steps and how I can help you, please.?

Francisco Jiménez, former director of the division for Mexico, said goodbye on his personal account, which suggests that the entire workforce was dismissed. While waiting for more official details, everything seems to indicate that this situation is a consequence of the massive layoffs carried out by Elon Musk and his team for a few days.
Due to the abruptness of the firings, upset former Twitter workers plan to take legal action against the Tesla mogul. We will have to find out if these measures have any effect for the benefit of the staff who have unfortunately lost their jobs in recent days.
