For starters, players who own a copy of Ratchet & Clank: A Separate Dimension (PS5) can now download a free update (1004) that includes a 20th Anniversary Armor Pack. This pack features five armors inspired by previous games in the series. Are the following:
- Ratchet & Clank 2 Inspired Commando Armor: Fully Butted
- Holoflux armor inspired by Ratchet & Clank: Trapped in Time
- Quest armor inspired by Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Treasure
- Marauder armor inspired by Ratchet: Gladiator
- Clank armor in honor of Ratchet’s companion
In addition, as of November 15, players with an active subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium, the option that for 16.99 euros per month includes all the benefits, will have access to more classic games from the Ratchet & Clank franchise. The one that resists joining the service is Ratchet & Clank: A Separate Dimension, which went on sale more than a year ago. After 20 years, we can safely say that Ratchet & Clank is one of Sony’s most important franchises. Over two decades, PlayStation gamers have received more than a dozen games, most of which can be played on PS3 (and now PS5 via PS Plus Premium). The latest installment, Ratchet & Clank: A Separate Dimension, arrived in 2021 after a five-year break and managed to win critical favor. Currently Insomniac Games seems to have moved away from Ratchet & Clank, as its two known projects are Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine.
