Day of riots during teacher marches: this was the balance

On the morning of this Thursday, November 3, dozens of teachers from different institutions in the district demonstrate in front of the square of the Secretary of Education, located on Calle 26 with Carrera 66, for the non-compliance of 60% in the agreements signed with the Secretary of Education in 2020.

They were joined in the afternoon by several members of feminist groups, who protest against a case of rape against a minor that would have happened in a TransMilenio station.

The District Association of Educators denounces that there is non-compliance with the working day and academic assignments, since they assure that their schedules extend for more than 8 hours without extra remuneration. Also, They warn about mental health problems and physical aggression on campus.

04:54 p.m.: Due to the novelty, the stations of: Av. Chile, NQS calle 75, Escuela Militar, Flores, Calle 72, Calle 76, Calle 85, Héroes, Virrey, La Castellana and Polo are not in operation.

Also at this time different TransMilenio buses were vandalized.

04:30 p.m..: There is a blockade on Av. Circunvalar with Calle 26A in a north-south direction, affecting the roadway. The demonstration has a capacity of approximately 80 people at the Macarena headquarters of the District University.

04:20 p.m..: The blockades continue at the TransMilenio stations: Polo, Calle 72, Calle 76 and Héroes.
