At least two Palestinians have died less than the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during a new raid carried out this Thursday afternoon in the city of Jenin, in the West Bank, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Authority. .
One of the men has been identified as Faruk Salamé, who has died after being transferred to a city hospital with several gunshot wounds to the abdomen, chest and head.
Subsequently, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization has indicated that it is one of its members, who would also have links with the Lion’s Den militia, although the other deceased is a teenager.
The IDF has indicated in a statement that Salamé had been involved in the death of Police Sergeant Noam Raz during a raid in Jenin last May, according to information from the newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.
The Israeli authorities, who have accused him of planning new attacks with firearms, have explained that Salamé died after a series of clashes with the security forces.
However, Palestinian sources say that Salamé was in a butcher’s shop slaughtering a cow for his wedding, scheduled for Saturday.
