Outstanding actors, actresses, writers and singers show their support for the ‘Pequeño Valiente’ Solidarity Gala that is being held this Saturday

Leading national and international actors, actresses and singers show their support for the Solidarity Gala of the Canarian Foundation for Children With Cancer ‘Pequeño Valiente’, which will be held this Saturday, November 5, at the Gran Canaria Arena.

During the gala, which will be recorded by TVE, the Little Brave 2022 Distinctions will be awarded to the company MEC Servicios, for their selfless work for more than 3 years; ONCE, for its social work and its daily work in the inclusion and autonomy of people with functional diversity; the Real Club Náutico de Tenerife, for its active participation in solidarity events in order to raise funds; International Paper, for its faithful collaboration for years, and Move Against Cancer, for its altruistic and autonomous solidarity challenge exclusively for Little Brave.

The proceeds from the Gala, with the sale of tickets and donations, will be used for the maintenance, services and activities of the ‘Casa Pipa’ residence to welcome children with cancer and their families, which will be inaugurated in 2023. Casa Hogar will serve as a temporary residence for families of children with cancer, from municipalities in Gran Canaria or other islands, for as long as they need to go to medical appointments or receive treatment at the Maternal and Child Hospital.

The first Casa Hogar de Canarias for children with oncological diseases is located in a building ceded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, with 230 square meters and adjoining the Cmultidisciplinary center of Pequeño Valiente, on Bravo Murillo street in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Common areas will have a large kitchen, dining room and living rooms where families will also share their experiences and support each other. There will be rooms with their own bathrooms, a games room and everything around a light patio that guarantees both ventilation and natural light through its façade. The interior courtyard will house the play area on its lower floor for the boys and girls who pass through the home, during the duration of the treatment and medical visits.
