Nov. 2 (Portaltic/EP) –
Twitter has announced that the Guest Star functionality is now available to all platform users, a tool that allows its content creators bring up to five guests to their broadcasts.
Last July, the platform presented this format within the framework of Twitch Patch Notes ‘Be Our Guest’, a broadcast in which it anticipated features that would reach its users in the coming months.
Among them was Guest Star, an initiative that allows streamers to invite up to five people, whether they are content creators or their own viewersto your broadcasts.
Now Twitch has indicated that this tool is available to all users and that, to make use of it, the request mode of the viewers must be activated, which allows them to be invited to the live broadcast.
With Guest Star, Twitch will allow viewers to raise a virtual hand within the stream so that the creator can invite them to join the conversation. In addition, the host will have access to data such as the age of that user’s subscription to their account, how long have you been following your content and previous chats to really know who you are inviting to your live.
On the other hand, the guests, before entering the broadcasts live, access a virtual space behind the scenes (‘backtsage’) from which they can contact the host.
Hosts must have Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) in order to take advantage of this benefit. Other requirements for this role include: use of the Google Chrome browsera desktop or laptop, and a phone-verified Twitch account.
