Uber faces inflation and reports a 72% growth in revenue

Uber Eats, the food delivery division, had revenues of 2,770 million dollars, an increase of 24% compared to the same period last year, which also demonstrates the relevance of this unit for the company, since it has grown so much which already represents 33% of Uber’s total income, benefited by the conditions that were generated during the pandemic.

The Cargo division recorded revenues of 1,751 million dollars, in addition to the fact that in this quarter the integration of a company that Uber acquired last year was completed, which positively affected its figures.

In mid-October, Uber launched an advertising division that aims to monetize its more than 124 million monthly active users. Therefore, the company’s goal is to reach $1 billion in ad sales by 2024.
