Sonic Prime: new trailer reveals the tragic history of the animated series

Today there was great news for fans waiting for the animated series Sonic Prime. As promised by SEGA and Netflix, a new trailer has just been released revealing the history of the series and a tragic fate of the blue hedgehog’s friends.

After so much waiting, we finally know what the narrative of Sonic Prime, which will apparently involve a distortion of the events of Sonic’s world. This was obviously orchestrated by Dr. Eggman, who in search of defeating his rival Sonic seized the Paradox Crystal.

Sonic and his other friends, including Rouge in her new and criticized outfit, faced the Badnik, enemies created by Dr. Eggman in an attempt to thwart the evil plans, but they failed, since the villain broke the glass and modified the reality in which they lived.

Sonic Prime will show a world ruled by Dr. Eggman

After this event, Sonic separated from his friends and is seen in a world very different from his, much more monotonous and dark.

Apparently what Dr. Eggman did was rewrite history in his favor and created a world under his power. Or, failing that, he went to an alternate reality where there was no Sonic to stop him. Something like it happened in the movie Phineas and Ferb: Through the Second Dimensionin which the main brothers visit an alternate universe ruled by Heinz Doofenshmirtz, a goal that they never achieved in their world.

In case you missed it: fans are not happy with Rouge the Bat’s bust reduction in Sonic Prime.

As seen in the trailer and just like in the Disney movie, Sonic will have to join forces with his friends in this other dimension to defeat Dr. Eggman.

Sonic’s friends changed their outfits in this parallel universe, since they are part of the resistance. The most striking design is Amy’s, which is made up mostly of robotic parts. Tails seems to be the one in charge of the intelligence of the group, Rouge the spy and Knuckles the guerrilla. Another detail is that Tails apparently lost the mobility of his legs and created robotic legs in the form of a spider.
