“APEC 2022 Roadshow” visits all provinces in Thailand

Thailand has launched the “APEC 2022 Traveling Exhibition” who visits all the provinces of the country to promote awareness of APEC Economic Leaders Week (AELW).

The caravan, the work of the Public Relations Department (PRD), is intended to encourage Thais to be good hosts to summit attendees and their dependents.

Minister Anucha said Thailand’s hosting of APEC in 2022 represents an important opportunity for the country to build confidence that will enable economic revival and progress. He also presents opportunities to drive sustainable economic growth in the aftermath of the pandemic and the adoption of global standards. APEC 2022 will also benefit the competitiveness of Thailand’s state agencies and private sector through knowledge and technology relays. The November summit and the APEC meetings that precede it also contribute to the national economy and tourism.

The PRD organizes this activity in line with the APEC 2022 motto: Open, Connect, Balance. Its objective is to promote the public’s understanding of APEC 2022, as well as their participation. The department aims to foster public awareness of the biocircular-green economy (BCG) model that is currently being used for national development.
