So far in 2022, 732,601 vehicles have been transferred in the country

During last September 101,498 vehicles changed owners. The figure is lower than the same month of 2021 when 112,749 movements of used cars were registered.

Of course, both figures are much higher than the volume of new cars placed in September of this year. when 23,893 units were sold, In other words, 4.2 times more used cars than new ones were sold, according to the figures that Andemos presented to the market.

With those indicators They already reach 834,099 registered transfers, between January and September of this year. Being the line of automobiles the one that moves the most with 486,698 and with a slight growth compared to the previous year.

In second place of transfers is for the utilities with 177,533 records.
And by far, in third place are the vehicles of the Commercial Load 10.5T line with 55,023 registrations.

By models, the car that is most often transferred is the Sparkde Chevrolet, model 2013, of which there have been made 39,510 property changes in nine months.
And when the examination is done by brands, Chevrolet is the queen with 242,218 transfers, while Renault appears in second place with 132,615 transfers.

In the list of the 10 models that change owners the most times, five are models of the Chevrolet brand.

For this year it is expected that the market for the sale of used vehicles would reach one million transfers.

Regarding the new vehicle market, the view for this year is quite optimistic, andemos figures point to 274,000 units.

However, the director of andemos, Oliverio García, pointed out that if the expected inventory volumes materialize, the market could reach 280,000 units.
And the interesting thing about this year is that the sale of hybrid and electric vehicles can reach the end of the year a 13% share of the total marketwhich already allows us to say that the trend towards clean mobility in Colombia is consolidated.

However, for next year the situation may be one of decrease, due to all the variables that are affecting the country, the fact that the economy is going to experience less growth will bring less demand for vehicles.

The current condition of a peso that is devalued more than the average of the countries in the region will end up affecting the value of the machines.
In addition, interest rates are high, which necessarily directly affects the cost of financing vehicles, whether new or used.

That is why in Andemos they consider that the sale of new vehicles could reach 262,000 units and even 240,000 unitsas indicated by Oliverio García during a Fasecolda seminar on the value of used vehicles.

(See: Prices and requirements for changing vehicle plates in Bogotá).

It is expected that to the extent that restrictions on the arrival of new cars continue to be registered, the prices of used cars will remain at current levels.

That is to say, that next year there may be a stability with a slight downward trend, but not very strong, because the economy will suffer, due to different external and internal factors with direct impact on the mobility market.
