Philips presents its new line of Evnia gaming monitors and peripherals: OLED panels, HDR and 165 Hz refresh rates

Despite being one of the most important technology brands in the sector, Philips’ presence in the gaming business has not been too important in the last decade. Its new Evnia line comes to solve this.

We have been to the presentation of Philips in which, for the first time, they have shown us their new gaming line of the company. It is called Evnia and has a deep meaning that comes from the Greek, as we have been told: good for the mind.

Evnia comes to fill a gap that Philips has had in the last decade, where the gaming sector has gained a lot of prominence and the company has not been able to bet strongly enough in this field.

As Evnia says, the company’s peripherals want to differentiate themselves from the multitude of current models from the competition that base their marketing on aggressive and very striking models. And it is true that Philips’ proposal is screens clean and discreet.

That said, we are going to see which models the brand has prepared and which gaming peripherals (keyboards, headphones and mice) will arrive hand in hand with these. Without a doubt, it is a change in the Dutch technology company. and yes we will see Ambilight on the monitors.

Philips Evnia 34M2C7600MV, the first release

This is going to be the first Evnia model to hit the market, the Philips Evnia 34M2C7600MV curved monitor, which stands out for having a UltraWide Quad HD resolution 3,440 x 1,440 px and HDR 1400.

The backlight mini-LED monitor with 1,152 zones allows for greater control of lighting and contrast ratio for deeper blacks and brighter whites without being an OLED panel.

Then we have the system Ambilight classic from the brand that has been renamed Ambiglow. As for the purely gamer section, the Evnia 34M2C7600MV comes with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and with Adaptive-Sync to synchronize the image without increasing latency.

The Philips Evnia 34M2C7600MV offers great flexibility with full connectivity of USB-C ports as well as KVM and height-adjustable stand to suit users’ preferences (and their position relative to the monitor).

Philips will launch new models in 2023 along with gaming peripherals
