Simit transferred $438,000 million to the Traffic Police in 17 years

The Integrated Information System on Fines (Simit) has managed to strengthen the country’s road safety leveraged on technology with which it has transferred more than $438,000 million to the Directorate of Traffic and Transportation of the National Police.

This was announced by its director, Sandra Tapias Mena, during the tenth National Congress of Territorial Authorities of Transit, Transport and Mobility in the city of Cartagena where the entity was accountable.

We have gone from analog to digital and have contributed to road safety in the country through 2,382 digital assistants, training and awareness campaigns”, reported Tapias Mena during the rendering of accounts.

The Simit system recovered resources for concepts of fines during 2021 in the urban perimeter of the order of $8,022 million while on national roads it achieved recoveries of more than $922 million.

Currently, the Simit has more than 185 million records corresponding to subpoenas, resolutions and collection.

As a result of the process of innovation and digital transformation, since June 2020 users have had a new portal that integrates all services, including the Simit account statement and the printing of the settlement of payment of fines directly by the citizen.

Finally, and as a result of the collection by amnesty law 2155 of 2021, Simit enabled the option for debtors to access to the discounts referred to in Law 2155 of 2021 [diferente de motocicleta (pago 50 %); motocicleta pago (20 %)]achieving a collection of: $139,007,228,540, between September 14, 2021 and December 31, 2021.
