Instagram has updated a message filtering tool used in direct messages between accounts to find unwanted contentsuch as harassing or abusive messages, as well as blocking other accounts of someone we have blocked.
The most important part of this tool is that it is now updated to work on replies to our stories as well.a common entry point for hurtful messages that often stem from the content of the story itselfbut this does not seem to be all, as we can read in tech crunch.
While the above sounds more important, the other part of the update is more technically impressive, and it is that Instagram says that it will be able to find “writing errors” made on purpose, although it is a filter that is capable of finding offensive words, even if they have been modified, either by changing letters for numbers or similar symbols, as well as simply omitting some letters.
Last but not least, a customizable filter will also be added that will allow us to block specific words that may have to do with it, for example, with some controversy that is relating to us at that very moment.
