The company took the opportunity to present, together with Satya Nadella, a new application of Microsoft Teams within Meta Horizons, where both executives spoke about the scope that the use of this type of device can have for companies and the productivity in the use that can be given to it.
Nadella focused that the experience that can be had with this type of virtual office is in a closer connection with augmented reality models. “We’re bringing an immersive meeting experience from Microsoft Teams to Meta Quest to give people new ways to connect with each other,” said Nadella. Both companies will team up to make virtual reality apps available in Teams, Office, Windows and Xbox.
The new glasses will be priced at $1,499 and will be available from October 25, but are aimed at both developers and end users looking for immersive experiences, according to Zuckerberg.

During the conference they also presented some new APIs that may be interesting for app developers, including one focused on the fitness world where they hope to further exploit the world of the metaverse, beyond video games, according to the CEO of Meta.
According to the company, more than 100,000 million people in Latin America use augmented reality effects on Facebook and Instagram, and Mexico and Brazil are among the top 10 countries with active creators of Spark AR, the app from which they develop this type of apps in Meta.
