The HP Jet S100 Solution for Large-Scale 3D Printing of Metal Parts –
Oct. 13 (Portaltic/EP) –
hp has announced the commercial availability of its professional solution MetalJet S100, a technology that enables large-scale 3D digital printing of high-quality, on-demand metal parts for the medical, industrial, consumer goods and automotive sectors.
HP Metal Jet S100 is a technology that offers the possibility of dispense with production molds, that have high costs, Directly produce metal parts on demand.
The manufacturer is aware of “how entire sectors, from industrial to consumer, including healthcare and automotiveseek to digitally transform their manufacturing processes” and believes that it has become “a trusted partner to help speed up the path to production”, as explained by the president of HP’s Personalization and 3D Printing business, Didier Deltort.
That’s why HP has created a solution that enables increased productivity, improves customer finances, offers higher resolution to boost part quality and presents innovative designs (with new geometries and densities), as detailed in a press release sent to Europa Press.
Furthermore, regarding productivity, this solution shortens the necessary steps of the process to create metal parts and also reduces complexity requirements, to drive efficiencies throughout the supply chain.
As a result of the work of Metal Jet S100, companies will be able to harness the unlimited potential of digital manufacturing” thanks to the fact that it provides “an avant-garde metals offer”, according to the Global Director of 3D Metals at HP, Ramón Pastor.
“Since we announced the groundbreaking Metal Jey technology in 2018, we have been working to develop the industry’s most advanced commercial solution for mass 3D metal production.”
This solution, which is now available for sale, has been developed at HP’s world headquarters for the 3D business, located in the center of Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), where they work more than 700 engineers and professionals from all over the world.
NEW COLLABORATIONS
The technology company has pointed out that, thanks to this solution, mass metal production opportunities have been created for more partners and customers around the world, among which is SchneiderElectric.
Thanks to this collaboration, Schneider expands the possibilities of its business. “We hope to continue to discover many more applications that can meet the demands of our customers, which tackle big challenges around sustainability and Electricity 4.0″, pointed out the Vice President of Power Products & Digital Energy at Schneider Electric Iberia, Jordi García
Schneider Electric’s product catalog includes low-voltage electrical panels dedicated to large-scale industrial projects, where electrical protection and power availability are essential.
Together with GKN, a new filter has been manufactured for Schneider Electric’s NSX circuit breaker using its Metal Jet S100 technology solution. Due to the complexity of the shape and material, this item could not be created with conventional industrial manufacturing capabilities.
HP notes that its technology not only made it easier to design new forms of power filters, but also led to improved productivity as well as environmental benefits.
The technology company has also managed to strengthen its relationships and promote its industry with leading partners and clients, such as GKN, Parmatech, Cobra Golf, Legor Group and Volkswagen, among others. He is also collaborating on mass metal production opportunities with new partners such as Domin Digital and Lumenium.
